First Things First

First and most importantly, I would like to wish Stephanie a Happy 19th Birthday! Well, actually I already did that because her birthday was on Tuesday, but I thought I would also let all of you know about it! We had a Birthday Eve family outing at Cherry Hill which was a lot of fun. The Lazy River is my favorite, and I think I could float on it for hours (except for when the water starts falling out of the buckets)! Tuesday I took Stephanie out for lunch at Mimi's Cafe, which we really enjoyed. That afternoon our family played Apples to Apples together and swam in our pool, and that evening John barbequed us some steaks. Jordan had to work that night, which was the reason for our Monday night outing. (I'm not used to having two kids' work schedules to juggle, plus John's and my schedules as well!)

Secondly, at 10:00 last night I finally finished my book and ordered a preliminary copy! I spent about 10 hours yesterday on what I thought I was going to finish in 20 minutes (it was one of my more frustrating days!). However, it's kind of like child birth, and now that it's over the pain is fading in my memory and I'm kind of excited! I'm asking Stephanie to design a different book cover which I will use for future copies, but my real concern right now is making sure the inside pages look OK. It's a fairly simple process to change the book cover (it will probably turn out to be another one of those 20-minute projects!).

Now I'm trying to decide what should rise to the top of the list. What I want to do is get my website all ready to go. What I need to do is read that exciting book for my class which starts next Monday and perhaps clean up the mess that has sprung up around me these last few hectic days. I also have a few other things on the list as well as preparations for tomorrow's 4th of July festivities. Whatever I choose, I guess I better go get started!

Here are a few birthday pics!

Thank you! I got on this morning and decided I didn't like my background anymore. Originally I thought the black was kind of elegant, but this morning I was thinking it just looked kind of blah.
