Seeing everyone else's blogs has inspired me to give this a try. Creating a blog feels quite uncomfortable to me since I don't really know what I'm doing (it wasn't that long ago that I even learned what the word means). However, I like being able to glimpse into each other's daily lives -- it makes me feel like we don't really live that far apart. So . . . here goes!
I have been updating photo albums this past week which has put me in a melancholy mood (and contributed to the name of this blog). I look at pictures of the kids and realize that time is racing by. All too soon the busy comings and goings of today will fade into the past. I hope this blog will help my family remember and record the story of our own Once Upon a Time.
I don't think there's anyone reading this who is not already acquainted with our family, but just for the fun of it, I'll introduce you again to our cast of characters.
John and Me -- King and Queen of the house
Stephanie, Jordan, Amanda, and Chelsie -- sometimes prince/princesses, sometimes household servants
Porthos -- generally known by all outside the house to be the ferocious dragon
