We may be losing the battle, but the war is not over! We are now on Day 6 and have not yet caught the mouse. Jordan spotted the mouse yesterday morning, which he says is actually kind of tiny. So . . . last night we declared all-out war, and after Porthos was tucked into bed in Amanda's room, we (well, actually it was John and Jordan) laid no less than 12 traps around the kitchen!!! However, when we woke up in the morning, we found we had no mouse and no evidence that the mouse had been out and about. So, we removed the traps which were on the floor so that Porthos wouldn't get stuck (sticky traps). Chelsie has named the mouse "Sir Percy" after the Scarlet Pimpernel (that "elusive" Pimpernel). Jordan, after seeing the mouse face-to-face, is secretly hoping it escapes.

If you want to catch the mouse you have to get rid of the woosey sticky traps. Go for the old fashioned spring loaded wire trap. Peanut butter is the best bait.
My Beehive leader showed dropped a cracker on one of those spring traps and it shattered into a bunch of tiny pieces. Thought I'd let you know.
At first, I thought Chey Chey was calling the mouse "Sir Percy" after the Weasly person because he's very clever.
